Mr. Vasilios Ath. Diamantopoulos was born in Tripoli in 1962. He graduated from the School of Dentistry at the University of Athens and specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Denmark and in Germany.
He has postgraduate degrees in Public Health Phd (c) at the University of Ioannina “deficiency in Vitamin D3” and he also has a postgraduate scholarship in the management of public funds. He teaches in the Nursing department at the University of the Peloponnese and at post graduate level he teaches “Public Health Care management and Crisis Management”
He began his career working in the private sector and later on at the General Hospital of Tripoli as supervisor of the Maxillofacial department. He was chosen by and joined the sector of Doctors of Public Health (NHS) and worked in the former prefecture of Arcadia which later became the Region of Peloponnese.
He is a member of the Board of Selectors in the NHS and is currently Chairman of the Panhellenic Union of NHS doctors of public health. He is also general secretary of the Greek science society of social medicine.
He has made announcements in International and Greek scientific conferences, five publications of research in foreign periodicals, he has written a complete study entitled “The Management of Epidemic Dangers by Insect Transmission (mosquitoes, phlebotomists and other gnats). The Creation and Organization of the Vigilance Mechanism, Rapid Reaction and Destruction of Transmission Insects”.
He has taken part in a series of conventions both as a speaker and also as an organizer.
