Ioannis Parissis is a member of the Board of Directors. of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.
Master Parisis graduated from the Military School of Evelpidon in 1973 as Deputy Head. He has also graduated from the Higher School of War, the National Defense School, the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a PhD of Political Science at the University of Crete (specializing in International Relations). Today he is a Major General. Founder and President of the Academy of Strategic Analysis since 2014. As an officer he served in various positions of command and staff in motorized and armored formations. Also in the Army General Staff and the Ministry of the Interior as well as the Military Attack in Madrid. He speaks English and Spanish. He served as Director of the Defense Analysis Institute of the Hellenic Ministry of Defense (2004-06). He has participated in numerous international missions, international sessions, transnational talks, designing and conducting allied exercises, research and defense technology partnerships, NATO and the EU, etc. He teaches at the National Defense School, the Three Branches of Administration and Staff, at the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (CEDES) and as a guest speaker at Postgraduate Departments of Greek Universities. His work includes a large number of articles, as well as 11 books.
