Anastasios Symeonidis

Anastasios Simeonidis is the Ambassador of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in the field of the Diploma of the Opera.

Mr. Simeonidis was born in Athens in 1972. After completing his studies in the upper theorems, the piano (National Conservatory), Musicology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens – Department of Music Studies) and the choir and orchestra (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, Academie Lyrigue), takes his first steps as a conductor assistant at the Athens Choir and the National Youth Symphony Orchestra, and in 2002 he is the artistic director of the Athens Choir. From 2003-2006 he is appointed as the conductor of the Zografou Symphony Orchestra and in 2008 he takes over the position of the conductor, next to the distinguished archbishop Vladimir Ashkenazy, at the Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra. Since 2010 he has been collaborating regularly with the National Opera. He has performed concerts with works of classical and contemporary repertoire at the Athens Concert Hall, National Opera, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Aristotle University, Piraeus Municipal Theater, University of Patras Conference and Cultural Center, Settembre Musica Festival in Milan and Turin, etc. He has collaborated as a conductor with the Athens State Orchestra, the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, the National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Athens, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the Orchestra of Patras, the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Romania, Camerata Orchestra of Friends of Music. Since August 2016, he has been Artistic Director of the ERT Musical Ensembles.
