Pantelis Papadopoulos is a member of the Academic Council of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.
He is a psychiatrist – a psychotherapist (with specialization in individual and group psychotherapy, couple and family therapy).
He was born and raised in Constantinople. Followed medical studies and general medicine and psychiatry-neurology specialties in Vienna, alongside psychotherapy training.
After 17 years in Austria, he settled permanently in Athens. For a few years he was a close associate of the well-known psychiatrist-psychoanalyst P. Sakellaropoulos, practicing social psychiatry and psychotherapy (PSPSA, MSCI, psychiatric reform program in Greece). Later he worked as director of the adult department at the Mental Health Center in Piraeus. At the same time, he completed the educational program of the Hellenic Society for Analytical Group and Family Psychotherapy, founder of which is the well-known psychiatrist-psychoanalyst M. Gyosafat. For many years he has been active in this company, initially as a member of the Board, then as a Trainer-Analyst, as a Supervisor and as the Head of the Educational Committee. A few months ago he was elected president of the upper company. Doctor maintains since 1984.
