Dimitrios Skiadas is a member of the Academic Council of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.
Mr. Skiadas is Associate Professor of European Governance in the Department of International & European Studies – University of Macedonia. He taught European Union Law and other subjects of his specialty in the Department of Law at the University of Durham, the University of Athens, the University of Athens (Department of Postgraduate Studies of the Departments of Computer Science and Economic Sciences) and the Department of Regional Economic Development of the University of Sterea Ellada.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the European Center for the Development of Vocational Training as representative of the Greek Government, Scientific Associate of the Vice-President of the Special Committee on European Affairs of the Greek Parliament, etc. He has also been employed in the private sector as a Director and Head of the South Aegean Region in Vocational Training Center in positions
responsibility in private companies. He is a member of many research and political thinkers such as the Institute of European Law at the University of Durham – UK, the Institute of Democracy “Constantine Karamanlis”, the Center for Political Research of the Department of Political Science and History of the Panteion University, the Association of Greek Regionalists, Political Science Society, etc. He has been a member of the Education Committee of the Council of Ministers of the European Union, the Monitoring Committees of the Third Community Support Framework and several Operations Programs, and the Monitoring Group of the National Reform Program under the Lisbon Strategy. Finally, he received honorary distinction as Honorary Fellow of the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg (Austria) of the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars.
