Christos Konstantinos Velissaropoulos

Christos Konstantinos Velissaropoulos is a member of the academic council of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.

He was born in Athens and has dual nationality, Greek and French. He is separated and has two daughters and two grandsons.
He has done advanced studies in medicine and psychology in France and Italy with a final degree in clinical psychology. After completing them, he worked volunteer at the Oncology Hospital “Agioi Anargyroi”, working groups of cancer patients and individual psychotherapeutic sessions. He has also completed a postgraduate program (DEA de Psychanalyse) at the Paris VII University, where he specialized in Psychoanalysis and Psychosomatic.
He has worked at the Esquirol Psychiatric Hospital (formerly ‘Charenton’s Asylum’), where he coordinated Balint and his staff.
She is an active member of the international medical humanitarian organization “Médecins du Monde”. He contributed to the creation of care facilities in Athens, to the drug addicts program, to the Roma inclusion program, to the medical mobile unit and was a representative of Greece to the European Network of Study on Access to Averroes Health System and to the RomEurope Roma Network. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the organization and Secretary General.
He has also been a scientific associate of the National Center for Research and Technology, responsible for research into the contribution of family psychotherapy to the integration of migrants and refugees.
She has worked at the “Medical Sexiological Institute”.
He is a member of the study company «I. Lezine “, the” International Society of Neuro-Psychoanalysis “and the” Greek Association of Analytical Group and Family Psychotherapy “, where she specialized in group analysis, family therapy and couples treatment. He also teaches at SEN & GPA and is a member of the Board of Directors.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the “Medical Psychosomatic Society” and the “Society of Friends of the Ophthalmology”
He has taught for a long time the courses of Psychoanalysis, Psychopathology, Psychosomatics and Sexology in Private Schools of Psychology
He is actively involved in writing articles and conducting speeches at scientific conferences focusing on psycho-oncology and the theme of social exclusion, as well as others such as “The statues of Riace”. He has also participated in writing the book “Psychological Approach to Cancer Patients” on “Group Psychotherapy with Cancer Patients”. He is also finishing his book on the relationship between psychosomatic and cancer.
