Nikolaos Kanellos as the Vice President of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy
On Monday, February 8, 2021, the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy is pleased to announce that the position of Vice President of the HICD is taken over by the Plenipotentiary Minister A Class E.T. Nikolaos Kanellos.
Nikolaos D. Kanellos was born in Larissa in 1954. He studied Political Science at Panteion University and a Master’s degree in European Studies and International Law at the University of Nice, France. He joined the Greek Foreign Ministry in 1981 and served in Strasbourg, Tirana, Houston (USA), Argyrokastro, Barcelona, The Hague, Pristina, Slovakia, Vietnam and Azerbaijan, as in Washington and New York.
He also deals with music and painting. His exhibitions have been presented in Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Kosovo, Slovakia, Vietnam and Azerbaijan, while in 2011 he participated with two of his works at the Jagodina Biennale in Serbia.
His collections at the Hanoi Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Modern Art in Baku.

He was honored, among others, in 2018 by the French Republic with the title of “Knight of Letters and Arts”.
It is a special honor for the HCID to include in our Management team such a renowned national diplomat, whose experience will offer the maximum in our action.
