Haris Koudounas is the head and founder of the branch of the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in Ancona (Italy).
Mr. Koudounas was born in Athens, in 1962. He is an author, academic, historical researcher, professor of decryption systems based on Greek language and advisor of the Academy of Art, Literature and Science, ‘Angelica Constantiniana’ based in Rome. In his recent action, he collaborates with various academics, researchers and historians in Greece and Italy too. He studied, Science of Information Systems in Ancona, Statistic Science in the University of Rome and he also owns two master degrees on the sector of ‘Futus Corporation, Future Systems’ (University of Perugia – University of Sienna). He holds the position of Professor of Methodology and Systems of Translation and Interpretation of Italian-Greek language for the academic semester of studies for those who would like to work in Italian Public Administrational system or the Italian authorities, within the Headquarters of the Port Authority system for the adriatic sea. He also teaches Greek language in Foreign Language Institutes in the province of Marche as well as he teaches the students of the Greek community in the province of Marche about Greek studies and ancient Greek self-knowledge. He is chief executive of the consulting, interpreting and translation company “Studio di Consulenze & Interpretariato”, based in Ancona. He is a Technical Advisor to the Judges and Prosecutors of the Court of Ancona and the Prosecutor’s Office of Ancona and Experts of the Ancona Civil and Criminal Court. He is the official translator and interpreter of the Ancona Financial Crimes Prosecution and the Ancona Customs and Tax Department. He is also an advisor of the IEMO (Diplomatic Corps) an Intergovernmental Organization for the Management of Emergency Needs in the Balkans, registered at the UN Secretariat (UN), based in Ancona. Since, 20 January 2015, he holds the position of the advisor and official of the Noble-Imperial House of Angelos-Comnenos of Thessaly and Epirus about the relationships with the Political and Religious authorities in Italy and Greece. He is an advisor of the Italian Highway Company ‘Autostrade per l’Italia’ as well as in plenty other companies in the field of transportations (air, road, naval). He is also consultant and responsible in the company based in Athens ARAG S.A. of Greek motorists of international transportations in Italy. Since 1997, he is continuously active in the field of International Transportations by carrying out various administrative and legal procedures. He assisted, more than 8.000 Greek motorists across Italy and he has experienced more than 16.000 hours of interpretation, he assisted to the issuance of 2.000 provincial licences for heavy good transportations in Italy. He also translated 5.000 documents and he succeed and completed 160 trade investigations between Italy and Greece and he finally offered technical and legal support to 170 cases of traffic accidents involving Greeks. In his author career he published historical and scientific researches with worldwide recognition in Greek, Italian and English language. He has also written books in other fields such as: literature, poetry, essays and technical manuals in Greek and Italian. He is a passionate enthusiast, about music, painting and literature. He participated in many public exhibitions about art and he received numerous international and national awards, recognitions and compliments about his researching, authoring and poetic activity.
